This image of the famous Nasca lines is showing the engraving of a whale. It was shot out of a two seated plane while flying across the lines. If you will ever travel to Peru, it´s a must to fly over the line. Its so stunning amazing!
Originally the pics were taken in colour. I converted them into b/w cause it´s the best way to see lines better.
For those who want to see more from a distance:

@Pavan: Thank you, Pavan. You will be not disappointed ;-)
I have read about these before but never knew how many there are. Great capture of the Whale. It makes you wonder how they knew what these would look like from the air...
Cheers,
Rob

@Rob: Thank you, Rob! Yes, it´s amazing. One theory is, that they had balloons to fly above the lines.
Unbelievable and very informative!

B&W definitely brings out the lines well. Whats your thoughts on the rerasons behind the lines? What were the creators making them for?

@Richard_Irwin: Thank you, Richard! In my thoughts I am following the theories of Mrs. Reiche.- a lttle bit ;-) On the other side there are many explanations through some scientists like Mr. Lambers, who does a great work on this. You can find more about his work here:
