Nasca Lines, Peru (10)

Posted by Michael (Wuppertal, Germany) on 5 December 2007 in Landscape & Rural.

The lady just in front of the minibus is not Mrs. Maria Reiche- it´s her Sister Renate Reiche. I met her first in 1989 and we become friends from the first second on. She invited me to drive the car just into the pampa- this is not possible for "normal" people, cause you have to know where to drive and where to put your feet. Yes, so it is: if you put your feet just anywhere, you will damage the lines!

If you want to support the work on the Nasca Lines, you can buy the most famous Book written by Maria Reiche:

Maria Reiche: Geheimnis der Wüste/Mystery on the desert/Secreto de la pampa
Nazca, Peru 1968. Publisher: Maria Reiche. 7. Edition 1989 (german/english/spanish)
(Price: 12 Euro + delivery rate)

By buying this book you will support the conservation of the Lines and Figures at the Pampa of Nasca and Palpa and the preservation of the inheritance of Dr. Maria Reiche.
