Nasca Lines, Peru (12)

Posted by Michael (Wuppertal, Germany) on 7 December 2007 in Landscape & Rural.

The "caretera panamericana" divides the Pampa of Nasca. There´s a sign on the highway that says that you not allowed to leave the road.
In the upper left you can see that some stupid´s didn´t follow the sign and left the highway. Due to the nature (no rain for decades, no heavy winds) of this remarkable area their tire-marks are printed for the next hundreds of years or so on the ground.

Due to my work I am not able to answer your posts at once- but be sure, every of your highly appreciated comments is read! I will always have a look to your pictures at aminus 3- even there might no be a post underneath!
